2. The Balfours are immune to telepathic prodding for whatever reason, but the staff are not. If there's something specific Charles would look for we can dip into that, but on a shallow read he'd find they're all just loyal house staff thanks to how handsomely they are paid, and most of them have served the family for generations.
3. Jonty has a collection of old cars that are perpetually being fixed up in the garage. Of course, he'll probably be angry if you mess with them and do doughnuts in the grass, provided that he notices.
