For a maximum of one week post-revival, Zephir will be a VAMPIRE. Sunlight repels him, garlic offends him, and most importantly his elongated fangs feel inclined to sink into flesh and drain his victims completely. During this week, he feels a calling towards the lake, to regain his stone under a thick layer of ice. He knows, in the dregs of his consciousness, that this will take the hunger away. However —
Upon full resurrection, Zephir will find that once a month, though following no discernible pattern, he is struck with a debilitating affliction that causes thorny, husked out plant-life to take root inside of his body. The onset of this sickness causes him extreme pain as the decayed plants push themselves upwards through his throat, mouth, and nose, the thorns causing his flesh to tear, and he will spend the next 2-4 hours purging. After, the thorns will begin to wither and turn to dust, and the sickness will pass.
