THE LIBRARY

The Library is OPEN
The Library is an entity with a seemingly endless reach where knowledge and collection are concerned. It's a great tool to get what you want in theory, when it feels like being useful. Oftentimes it doesn't, or will demand something else in return. If too many requests come in, the Library will close for awhile, so we can play catch up.

Additionally, mods respond to the Library requests TWICE A MONTH. Keeping that in mind, Library requests should not be time sensitive, or important for plot motion.

UPDATE 11/16: for ease's sake we've enforced these rules to keep the Library more streamlined:

1. No weapons
2. No pets
3. No vehicles
4. There is no need to request books (unless they're specialty titles from a character's world, or you want a reaction from the Library). Whatever title or topic they're looking for, the Library seems to draw them to the right shelf.

To start, have your character fill out this request card at the Library's pneumatic tube:

[ Not a record player, but a very small iPod nano comes back to Tim, accompanied by a pair of Prada headphones. The Library has already gone through the trouble of downloading some albums for him, including Abbey Road by The Beatles, Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire by Bonnie Tyler, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? by The Cranberries, and (What's The Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis. ]

YOUR REQUEST: Thank you for the ipod! This is a very impressive device, and your selections were very educational. I enjoyed most of them much more than I expected to. I don’t want to be greedy, but I have some follow-up requests, if I may.

- A speaker I can plug it into, for the sake of sharing with others

- Is it possible to add more to it, or trade things out? I did not especially care for the group ‘Oasis’. I did find it interesting to give it a listen for the sake of education, but I don’t see myself returning to it for pleasure.

- Regarding Bonnie Tyler (who I very much enjoyed, I wasn’t so sure about all that heavy guitar at first, but it suits the dark-romantic subject matter of her lyrics and she’s an incredible vocalist) - one of the songs is labeled ‘Holding Out For a Hero – From “Footloose”’. What is ”Footloose”?
