THE LIBRARY
The Library is an entity with a seemingly endless reach where knowledge and collection are concerned. It's a great tool to get what you want in theory, when it feels like being useful. Oftentimes it doesn't, or will demand something else in return. If too many requests come in, the Library will close for awhile, so we can play catch up.
Additionally, mods respond to the Library requests TWICE A MONTH. Keeping that in mind, Library requests should not be time sensitive, or important for plot motion.
UPDATE 11/16: for ease's sake we've enforced these rules to keep the Library more streamlined:
1. No weaponsTo start, have your character fill out this request card at the Library's pneumatic tube:
2. No pets
3. No vehicles
4. There is no need to request books (unless they're specialty titles from a character's world, or you want a reaction from the Library). Whatever title or topic they're looking for, the Library seems to draw them to the right shelf.
no subject
YOUR REQUEST: Cocaine. Decent amount, if ya can. And some decent cowboy boots.
( Maxine feels a little weird leaving the note in the Library. she was hoping for a person to talk to a little more... specifically about her request. but ultimately settles for leaving the note. )
Uh, thank you. ( she calls out to the Library, looking around as she starts to sidle off in case she spots someone to physically thank.
as she leaves, she tucks are hands into her arms tightly around her body. she feels on edge and hopes the Library will help. she hasn't gone this long without a supply in years. )
cw: drug use
[ The returning package to Maxine is perhaps a bit more giant than she was expecting — in the same vein as a child's architectural school project, there is a diorama of the Taj Mahal completely constructed out of packed cocaine, which can be picked off and snorted. In addition, if she makes her way through the roof of the mausoleum, she will find a signet ring with the Balfour family crest on it. The ring has a hinged top, and when opened — surprise! More cocaine. However, this particular supply never seems to dry up, as if fueled by some magical means.
And, of course. The lady's cowboy boots. ]
