THE LIBRARY

The Library is OPEN
The Library is an entity with a seemingly endless reach where knowledge and collection are concerned. It's a great tool to get what you want in theory, when it feels like being useful. Oftentimes it doesn't, or will demand something else in return. If too many requests come in, the Library will close for awhile, so we can play catch up.

Additionally, mods respond to the Library requests TWICE A MONTH. Keeping that in mind, Library requests should not be time sensitive, or important for plot motion.

UPDATE 11/16: for ease's sake we've enforced these rules to keep the Library more streamlined:

1. No weapons
2. No pets
3. No vehicles
4. There is no need to request books (unless they're specialty titles from a character's world, or you want a reaction from the Library). Whatever title or topic they're looking for, the Library seems to draw them to the right shelf.

To start, have your character fill out this request card at the Library's pneumatic tube:

[ grace hastily grabs a few more note cards so she can annotate the book without writing in the margins— things like "this is my favorite part" and "i swear i'm not a monster fucker it's just that sometimes connection is hard and some monsters aren't really monsters, you know?" and "the next part is FUCKED UP" and tucked into the back cover THANK YOU all in caps with a loopy heart.

also another request: "could you please send me a picture of richie and his daughter? he really misses her."

she slaps the request on to the front cover of the book and sends them both into the tube. ]

There is indeed a (very cute) picture of Richie with his daughter when she's very young, although she's mostly concealed by her long blond hair on an errant breeze. Alongside that, Grace's book is returned, having already been read. There are little creepy smiley faces with dripping ink on each of her notecards, which the Library feels quite embarrassed about, in hindsight. ]
