𝐈'𝐕𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 ▣ the library
THE LIBRARY
The Library is an entity with a seemingly endless reach where knowledge and collection are concerned. It's a great tool to get what you want in theory, when it feels like being useful. Oftentimes it doesn't, or will demand something else in return. If too many requests come in, the Library will close for awhile, so we can play catch up.
Additionally, mods respond to the Library requests TWICE A MONTH. Keeping that in mind, Library requests should not be time sensitive, or important for plot motion.
UPDATE 11/16: for ease's sake we've enforced these rules to keep the Library more streamlined:
1. No weaponsTo start, have your character fill out this request card at the Library's pneumatic tube:
2. No pets
3. No vehicles
4. There is no need to request books (unless they're specialty titles from a character's world, or you want a reaction from the Library). Whatever title or topic they're looking for, the Library seems to draw them to the right shelf.
no subject
YOUR REQUEST: I (on behalf of too many people here) need some information about the dangers of incest - haemophilia, birth defects, fertility problems, things like that. It has to be simple and easily digestible for people from medieval times, for whom this will likely be new and alarming information. A layperson's explanation of why you should not marry your sister. I appreciate your time.
cw: incest
[ As proponents of keeping it in the (Balfour) family, Tim receives ... well, the exact opposite. The returning stack of book boasts the political benefits of consanguineous marriages among nobility and interbreeding within political dynasties, supplying a helpful family tree of the English Royal Family dating back to Alfred the Great, and historical accounts detailing how royal families consolidated power across Europe through incestuous alliances, as well as a first edition copy of Mansfield Park by Jane Austen mixed in with the bunch.
The library does throw him one small bone; sort through to the end, and Tim will find V.C Andrews' controversial series, Flowers in the Attic. Enjoy! ]
