NOVEMBER 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: arriving in saltburnt without manfred has been quite a blow, but there's been no shortage of projects with which emmrich can occupy his time, primary among them an investigation into the nature of death considering the recent spate of resurrections. that aside, emmrich is still getting settled, and adjusting to life in the house.
DECEMBER 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: emmrich has been getting used to life in the mansion, entertaining a grand total of two (2!) kisses under the mistletoe and enjoying christmas and all the holiday entails. he's still had plenty of research to occupy him โ mainly in the form of matt's angel transformation โ as well as some private thinking to do on the subject of romance. he's a romantic by nature but recognizes that the environment he's currently in encourages somewhat more free thinking. we'll see what happens!
JANUARY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: a lighter beginning of the year (flirting with glinda, matt, and pearl at the new years' festivities) quickly shifted into heavier territory. first and foremost, emmrich confided in parisa about what he considers to be his greatest failing as well as his greatest fear, making her perhaps the only person he's ever really confessed as much to.
he also took to the network to share what little he's found out so far about the nature of "death" and resurrection in the house, and had a slight crisis, afterward, as to whether or not he's too cold when it comes to disseminating such information.
FEBRUARY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: the fact that emmrich basically plans to take a sabbatical in march should tell you all you need to know about how february went: his research with parisa led to the mansion losing all magic for the month and a rising tide of revenants to go along with it. luckily, he managed to round up a group of folks he considers capable to go down into the crypt to try to set things back to normal โ and succeeded, meeting the spirit known as the sibling and being anointed as her priest. he confessed to being responsible for the month's misfortune on the network despite being aware that his mistake won't win him any friends, as he's never been the type to shirk duty or the consequences of his own actions.
he also confessed to parisa that he loves her, a realization that has fundamentally altered his relationship to his aforementioned greatest fear and opened up a door to a future he'd once thought might have been locked permenantly.
MARCH 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: emmrich, as promised, took most of march off, devoting his time both to getting his head back on straight and to doting on parisa. an encounter with armand, which he initially expected to end in revenge for having inadvertently caused the vampire's death the previous month, instead dove straight into a chat on philosophy and the nature of good and evil โ in other words, catnip. emmrich also opened up a little more to dorian, aware that he's no longer the rowdy teenager he was once familiar with, and a worthy confidante in a sea of relative strangers.
and, most importantly, he ended the month by deciding to take the matter of really fixing what he'd broken into his own hands โ by killing himself, or rather, by giving his death to parisa, who told him she loves him (!!!).
APRIL 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: having died at the end of march, april saw emmrich return from the dead, turning into an angel while still separated from his soul as well as allowing worship in the form of a threesome with parisa and dorian. now, he's mostly back to normal, with the exception of a patch of skin right over his heart that's grey and mottled โ dead.
he spent the rest of the month re-solidifying the bonds he has with dorian and solas, looking after parisa (whom he understands he owes Bigtime), and chatting with august about what led to the events of february. he's also running an experiment based on alina's findings, though he'll unfortunately find that it's not a ritual with consistent results.
MAY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: emmrich spent may in quiet mourning, having lost both dorian and solas in one fell blow, but kept himself occupied by reading the network, re-running alina's ritual after an unsuccessful attempt in april (though this attempt failed, too), and accompanying parisa to the circus. though he now harbors a significant grudge against the baskervilles, a tense (and bloody) evening led to an exchange of secrets (one he'll now take to his grave and into his lich-life), as well as of gold. frankly, he ought to have done it earlier.
JUNE 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: ๐ฎ au month! emmrich and shadowheart were brother and sister, and, as famed occultists, took it upon themselves to hold a sรฉance for the gathered people of saltburnt. it went reasonably well, which is to say it caused a few crashouts but nobody died. there was also an au incest foursome involving emmrich, shadowheart, parisa, and armand that occurred offscreen โ normal stuff!
