SUMMARY: Portia had an incredibly busy month, mostly because a friend was in town and staying at Saltburnt, though she wasn't half as interesting as Portia expected her to be. It was very droll, but she came up with a fun game where every time her guest started a sentence with the word I, she'd take a sip from her champagne flute. Safely said, while incredibly boring, the month went by in a drunken haze and Portia's invited guest is now, wonderfully, gone home.

SUMMARY: Jonty reached a milestone this month, and finally finished the novel Ulysses by James Joyce, after chipping away at it for some number of years. He found to be okay, but not great, and ultimately a bit of a time sink with little reward. To cheer himself up, he bought a new horse and named her Penelope, and decided to donate a healthy sum of money to help some starving priests in the Italian countryside, or something.
