SUMMARY: paul has, more or less, enjoyed his time thus far in saltburnt. it's a nice change of pace from being god emperor, and having (almost) no one around know who he is has been freeing. he spent most of the month girlbossing off with alina, who he's taken a big shine to. interacting with alia (and, tangentially illyana and furiosa) has given him a little insight into the future, although if he does anything with it is anyone's guess. it's been a pretty chill month for him altogether.

SUMMARY: getting closer to alia & alina has been the highlight of his month — generally he's been occupying his time reading, exploring, bathing, and trying to put a baby in alina ( no luck yet 😔 ), so he's still very thoroughly enjoying his time. he is probably overdue for something miserable to happen, but until then he's going to enjoy getting closer to people and making more friends, hopefully more weirdos.

SUMMARY: august signals a turning point for paul, not for any especially good reason, but because concealing his very intense and emotional relationship with alia has gone on so long, it's started to feel like lying directly to alina's face, without any words shared. not that he wouldn't have welcomed a conversation about it earlier, but now he has a reforged desire towards making a trio work between himself, alina, and alia. he can definitely wait out the storm: he sees the path forward.

SUMMARY: ok clearly i lied last month but we all expected that. anyway — paul's month was pretty preoccupied with the werewolf game, in between needing to save alina's life basically every round, and eventually getting killed off himself. alia was found to be a wolf in the first round which was Something, paul thinks she's valid with whoever she wants to kill, but he also knows there's trauma there at being a weapon for the use of others — most of this was overshadowed by the fact that alicent voted publicly against her, which predictably didnt go over Great in atreides-starkov world. he and alicent made up though, and paul felt a little weak but overall good about it. alina obviously revived him this month using the merzost, which took a lot out of her and left an impression on him, so there's a little tension between them now as they fall into their new dynamic

SUMMARY: it's so embarrassing when i dont do my ac on time. anyway, paul had a very tame month all things considered — while shit was hinting the fan with the revenants, he was holing away at sol & scroll with comparative ease. no one he was close with was impacted too greatly by the death in the house, so he had a relatively easy month. limited resources and suffering are not new to him!

SUMMARY: really gave it some work at getting alina pregnant this month — they had a very serious, kinky romp and basically stopped pinching off their worse impulses, which resulted in very extreme, but very fun sex. although jessica left a wound in his heart when she exited the house, paul has kept his spirits up — working at s+s and joining in their company mingle, drawing out some deep feelings from nick on the subject of dying and death within saltburnt itself. all in all a pretty tame, but very development heavy month for paul. pleaaaase baby news next month 😮‍💨 pls

SUMMARY: fairly relaxed month as they go for paul — winning favorite war criminal was potentially a low point (he does not care that much) but satisfying his wife via their questionable kinks was definitely a high. in a really good place, all things considered!!

while may brought on many painful memories from alina's influenced marriage to spike, and some of the support from once named friends, one thorn stuck out among the rest: alina hasn't been happy with him for a long time, and while he knew his relationship with alia was a sore spot with her, he didn't realize alina was so wounded by it. it came out, and now paul has the choice to make: alina or alia? it's not easy, but it is inevitable. alia will always be his sister and it would be unthinkable to extricate himself from her, but maybe the romantic and sexual aspects of their relationship have overstayed their welcome. if it's what alina needs to feel secure, then it will be done.

SUMMARY: it's been a settling in month for nami, trying to refind her footing in her fraught relationship and mostly being unsuccessful in the process. that said, she is thriving in a rich environment and doesn't at all mind the princess treatment — obviously when not resulting in terrible horrors, which are not her favorite thing. that said, nothing in saltburnt so far has been especially evil to her, after the last place she was in. so. everything is turning up nami, except her lovelife, which is in the dirt where it usually is.

SUMMARY: nami continues to be incredibly normal about her lovelife and the people who occupy little corners of her heart. she mainly stayed out of the wolfman business and instead busied herself with her continuing work mapping the house, this time occupied with the new presence of her captain, luffy, who she was incredibly mean to for no understandable reason (see: missing him very badly).

SUMMARY: painful month. due to her own negligence in establishing firm boundaries in her relationships with both sanji and zoro, nami managed to hurt her own feelings pretty badly when it became apparent both of them had slept with other people individually. (zoro's happened months ago i think idk why i didn't write it down) she had an emotional talk with luffy about her own worthiness as a member of the crew, and feels tentative;y confident in her place among their ranks, although it's still very tense with sanji — and also alina, who he slept with. total mental collapse into slut/horror era is probably imminent.

SUMMARY: the werewolf game started off on a semi good foot, with the oplas deciding to vote together. naturally this very swiftly went topside when sanji and luffy defected, resulting in nami's very obvious anger with them. luckily (????) she was attacked and nearly killed in the next round which set a new tone for the rest of the event. locked in, the oplas rebounded in the final round — though, then nami decided to be the rebellious one, voting out set to prison for the crime of being unfathomably annoying (🧡❤️). obviously she received no pushback for this because she is a girl and she's allowed to be combative. u are not. hope that makes sense.
